GET INVOLVED – VOLUNTEER – CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA
Come Volunteering At Salem Biblical Garden.
Volunteering in Paarl is one of the best ways to discover the amazing cultural and natural diversity that is found in the Mother City of Cape Town. You’ll work side by side with believers from around the world, forming life-long relationships based on an unforgettable experience. While our first open-air archaeological museum is currently under development, participating in an archaeological excavation is a unique and exciting way to experience bible history first-hand. A wide variety of people take part in featured digs, with individuals of many different ages, backgrounds, and cultures that have come together to share the thrill of discovery in the land of Israel. This is a great start for any future participant to experience archaeology in Israel while volunteering at Salem’s first bible archaeological museum in South Africa. Whether you’re interested in the world of the Old Testament, in the time of Joshua (Jericho Walls), Elisha (beehives), Abraham (ancient well) David and Solomon (mikveh) or the New Testament walking in the footsteps of Jesus / Yeshua and the apostles in the Ancient Galilean Synagogue (mosaics), we’ve got an archaeological “dig” for you. For each “dig,” we provide an in-depth description including location, historical and Biblical significance, and what the goals are for the season.
We are looking for volunteers to help at Salem, whether it’s archaeology or handyman work around the garden. So, come and pick up an axe, spade, shovel or a paintbrush and join the experts in the field, in developing South Africa’s first biblical garden/museum. Book in advance and bring a hat.
